a symbol for the new year

Seems like it's time for a fresh start in the new year, so what better symbol of change than a phoenix? The sculpture was done by the Dame's the resident blacksmith, and it is now residing in a beautiful garden on the Eastern Shore.

I'm looking forward to starting over with the blog in the new year as well. Happy New Year to all.
